On my quest for build surfaces I stumbled upon this (undiscovered by the YouTube product reviewers) clever solution to your heavy glass build surface. First off this is about 1/3 the weight of stock glass build surfaces…no more ripples and ringing in your prints from that huge chunk of glass challenging the drive line of your Y axis. Second, Its copper cladding distributes the heat more evenly and heats up almost exactly twice as fast…you won’t need to upgrade your heater and all electronics associated with it…3rd… it’s useable on both sides, can be cleaned easily and is slightly flexible to help release a stubborn print… Not all are acid etched as seen here.
I use these exclusively on all my constant use printers and have yet to replace one. Their surface will not damage your nozzle like hard glass. Specifically Larger 500MM x 500mm or approximately 20″ x 20″ 3D printer build surface!
